It’s Friday!!!! Oh wait, I’m a mom. Woh woh woh. Its ok though, I’ve got a girls night planned today (hello babysitter) and its supposed to be 70 degrees here on Sunday so enjoying the weather will be first up on my agenda for the day!
Piper has currently hit the 4 month sleep regression so instead of sleeping 9 hours at night she is back to waking up 2 or more times a night. I think this might be worse than when she was first born because at least those first few weeks I was expecting to be up all night long. These days not so much. Oh well, she’ll be leaving for college soon so I best just enjoy every minute of her!
Most of my Friday Finds this week were found at 3 am while I was nursing a sleeping baby so they might be slightly weird, who knows the kind of things I like when I’m only half conscious.

Since having a kid I have way less time to shop for clothes, plus have you ever tried taking a stroller into a fitting room? Ummm not happening. So I was super excited when I heard about stitch fix. You tell them your style and each month they send you 5 clothing and accessory items. You try them on at home and send back the things you don’t like. I LOVE this idea. Once I get my first box I’ll make sure to share with you what comes in the box and get your opinion on what I should keep. Its going to be so much fun!
I recently discovered this little gem of a blog, Oakland Avenue. Laura is a fellow blogger on the Rookie Moms site. After I was digitally introduced to her I hopped over to check out her blog and I freakin LOVE it. Her writing style is refreshingly honest and she isn’t afraid to share with you those moments as a mom that we aren’t always proud of. In fact she has a new series on the blog called New Mom Confessions. I’ll be contributing in May, but definitely check it out right away!
I love pizza. Like I freakin love it and I’d eat it every day if I could. I’m so guilty of just ordering a pizza if I don’t feel like cooking which is not healthy at all. So when the Food Babe posted this delicious healthy pizza recipe I was all over it. For the crust you use an Ezekiel wrap which is made from sprouted grains, one of the healthiest grains around. When you load it up with veggies and a good quality organic pizza sauce it is actually a healthy pizza. Plus its quick and easy. Tyler and I have been eating alot of this these days and it satisfies my pizza craving and then some. Bonus, I highly recommend this pizza seasoning, makes all the difference.
Bassets have got to be one of the cutest dogs EVER. This video is adorbs.
How genius of an idea is this? No cords and a million hair products shoved in a drawer. Plus it has a built in power source. Love it!
Putting Piper to bed has been somewhat of a challenge the last few days. So when that lovely little peanut finally goes off to dream land I have been enjoying a nice glass of this. Nightly. Its crisp and refreshing and it has a screw off lid, even better. For my local peeps they sell it at Hy-Vee, otherwise you can buy it online here.
I saw this quote awhile back and it REALLY hit me. Kids grow and change so fast, every day they are a little bit bigger, a little bit smarter, and a little bit closer to leaving for college (yes I already cry about this and Piper is only 4 months old). Take it all in, even the moments where you swear they will never sleep again. Soon Piper will be too big and too cool for her mom to put her to bed anymore so I’m just going to try and relish every minute I have with her (and then on the nights when it is a little too much I will refer to the above wine to make things better).
That’s it people, have an awesome weekend! I promise to be blogging more next week. Having a rough week of sleep has zapped my creativity!!!
